EVC Digital's 'An Introduction to Stage Lighting Techniques' introduces students to the world of stage and theatre
lighting and
the lighting design process. On these two broadcast quality educational DVDs we demonstrate the use of
spotlights, fresnels, gobos,
lighting mixing desks, floods (floodlights), focussing and rigging of lights, use of colour gels
and the role of the lighting designer in relation to
working with the actor, the director and the rest of the creative team.
It is an educational resource tool for use by sixth-form colleges, BFI,
acting courses, universities and educational and career
libraries. It is also being used as a stage lighting skills and lighting design skills
